Easy and Affordable Valentine’s Day Decorations
Let’s bring some love and cheer to your home this February! I love a little Valentine’s Day decoration to brighten up my home. I don’t go super overboard, just a few basic things to add some love. Below find a tutorial for fireplace garland and mantle decor!
DIY Valentine’s Day Mantle Decorations
Supplies
- Wooden hearts
- Paint Brush
- String
- Red Acrylic Paint
- Red Hearts Ribbon
- Flowers
Instructions
Paint the wooden hearts with the red acrylic paint. I created an ombre with my hearts by adding different levels of water to my paint. It made the decor more rustic and slightly weathered looking. Then I used the twine to tie them into a string to hang.
I added an additional string of red heart ribbon. I also hung some of this ribbon around door knobs around my house in a bow shape.
Valentine’s Day Floral Mantle
To create a floral display for your mantle, first pick a variety of flowers. I went with a range in cost, size, and color. I stuck to the classic Valentine’s Day colors of red, purple, white, and pink. I went with roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath, limonium, and carnations.
I used green foam flowers blocks to stick the flowers into. I cut the block into three pieces to fit into plastic containers. Saturate the block in water prior to placing in flowers. Tip* – put the block into a bowl of water. Once the block sinks to the bottom of the bowl, it is ready!
Valentineโs Day Table Decor
Folded napkin in heart shape and add some small flowers.

Add additional flowers around the base of the candlestick. Make sure to not burn too close to flowers.
