The Best View on the Oregon Coast

We recently went on a road trip from Palm Springs, California to Vancouver, British Columbia. Along the way, we stopped at a beautiful hotel on the Oregon Coast. The hotel was the Starfish Point in Newport, Oregon. It is a quintessential ocean themed stay with super cozy vibes.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly upon arrival. It has a very homey vibe on the grounds. You can borrow old DVDs and games from the office. They also have a lovely chihuahua on staff who was lounging by the fire.

You receive a complimentary s’mores kit when you enter your room. You can use it at the nightly communal outdoor fire. I thought this was a lovely touch.

Baby Road Trip Essentials

If you are going on your first road trip with your baby, here are my top recommended items. They will make traveling easier. The two major things that help are the white noise machine and blackout tent. Also, if in the budget, I would go for a two bedroom.

The hotel is on Agate Beach, Oregon. Its a staircase down the beach. We brought our dog and it was the perfect area for her to have fun. You are also facing West, so amazing sunsets from the location.

There is a dog friendly trail around the property, very short but perfect for a pee pee break.
